Sport With Purpose

Talanta Bora participants taking part in sport and developing through teamwork and activity.

Building Stronger People Through the Power of Sport.

Talanta Bora began with a simple belief: every child deserves the opportunity to participate in sport, discover their potential and develop not only as a player, but as a person.

Talanta Bora Ltd was registered in 2018, and this journey gave rise to Emerging Stars Football Academy. Football became the starting point for creating opportunities for young people to train, develop their abilities and experience the discipline, teamwork and confidence that sport can bring.

As our understanding of the power of sport grew, so did our vision. In 2023, Talanta Bora expanded into Sports for Development, recognising that sport can be a practical pathway to much more than physical and sporting development. It can create spaces where people connect, build relationships, develop life skills, strengthen resilience and experience a sense of belonging.

Today, our work places a growing focus on mental health and psychosocial wellbeing through sport. We create safe, inclusive and engaging environments where children, young people and communities can move, connect, learn, express themselves and grow.

We believe sport can open doors that are sometimes difficult to reach in other ways. A training session can build confidence. A team can create belonging. A coach can become a trusted adult. A game can teach resilience, communication and responsibility. And sometimes, a conversation that begins on the pitch can become an opportunity for someone to seek the support they need.

That is why Talanta Bora is about more than developing athletes. We use sport to help develop healthier minds, stronger relationships, valuable life skills and more resilient communities.

Because the game is bigger than the score.

At Talanta Bora, we want to contribute to a future where every child, young person and community can access safe, inclusive and meaningful opportunities to move, connect, learn, lead and grow through sport.
